As of August 5, 2021, the State Enterprise “Medical Procurement of Ukraine” has concluded agreements for the centralized purchase of 105 nomenclature items worth UAH 716 million for 2021 funds. Auctions have already been held for another 103 positions, therefore, contracting continues. Tender procedures for the remaining 394 positions are ongoing.
According to the results of the auctions already held in Prozorro, the total amount of the winners' proposals amounted to UAH 1.5 billion. The estimated amount of savings of taxpayers money at all current auctions is UAH 457 million or 24% of the expected value of UAH 1.9 billion.
The winners of the auctions are international and Ukrainian pharmaceutical manufacturers, as well as suppliers. We see a high interest in our procedures and competition in the market, which ensures lower prices. This became possible due to the work of our team's specialists, high-quality preparation for tenders, as well as effective cooperation with our partners.
What does the savings of UAH 457 million mean?
- This is the total budget allocated for the purchase of drugs for patients in the areas of ARV therapy and youth oncology in 2021.
- This is more than 1 thousand expert-class vents.
- This is about 22 thousand sets of laboratory tests, which can be used to conduct 2 million PCR tests for COVID-19.
- Ultimately, it is an opportunity to provide more patients with the necessary free treatment at public expense.
It should be noted that all potential suppliers of the State Enterprise "Medical Procurement of Ukraine" are tested for integrity. In 2021, the Department of Anti-Corruption and Compliance of the SE "MPU" inspected and qualified 156 unique suppliers.
