State Enterprise Medical Procurement of Ukraine (SE MPU) has teamed up with non-governmental organization Enkidu for help with its urgent need for medicines and medical supplies for the people of Ukraine. Due to the war raging in Ukraine, the national procurement system – Prozorro – cannot be used.
Enkidu is implementing “Project Enkidu,” an effort that will leverage market-leading, cloud-based procurement solutions from SAP to create a centralised platform for SE MPU to quickly and efficiently secure urgently needed supplies. SE MPU will tap into the SAP Business Network, which has more than 8 million connected companies, to quickly find and engage suppliers that can deliver essential goods. With SAP Ariba solutions for buying and invoicing with guided buying capabilities, MPU employees will be able to easily follow the organization’s procurement policies. These solutions donated to Enkidu by SAP will provide the speed, efficiency and transparency required for all parties involved in the procurement and supply of medicine to Ukraine.
Suppliers that are not yet connected to the SAP Business Network can contact EnkiduGlobal.org to provide their catalog of medical goods to be added to the system. In addition, charity funds and foundations that would like to finance specific purchases to provide humanitarian health assistance to Ukraine in coordination with the SE MPU should contact Enkidu.

State Enterprise “Medical Procurement of Ukraine” is a single state-owned entity responsible for centralised procurement of medical supplies and equipment on behalf of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine. The purchase requests to the enterprise come from the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
