On April 23, the State Enterprise "Medical Procurement of Ukraine" announced the first procedures in 2021 within centralized public procurements of medicines and medical devices. As of May 6, 105 procedures have been announced.
The procurements for the following areas had been announced: medicines for patients with infectious diseases accompanied by a high mortality rate, orphan metabolic diseases, substitution maintenance therapy, treatment of infertility in women through assisted reproductive technologies, cerebral palsy, congenital immunodeficiency disorders, multiple sclerosis, idiopathic dystonia, cancer patients, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
For some areas, the Ministry of Health provided us with the approval of the medical and technical requirements (ToR) for the items that should be procured. This ToRs we sent earlier to the Ministry. However, due to the lack of the Orders from the Ministry of Health on quantities of the items, procedures have not yet started. Specifically, is such areas as youth and adult haemophilia, medicines for patients with cystic fibrosis.
In some areas, we are still waiting for the approval of the ToRs from the side of the Ministry as well as the Orders on quantities. In particular, in such areas as treatment of children with cancer, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, pulmonary hypertension, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases (medical devices).
