Medical Procurement of Ukraine (MPU) joined the annual Farmpoglyad-2023 conference, where plans for the current year and key achievements of the last year were presented.
Edem Adamanov, MPU`s Acting General Manager, spoke about the streams in which centralized procurement will be carried out in 2023, the tools that MPU will use within the new procurement cycle, the results of the pilot of the e-Stock medicine accounting system, etc.
"Since 2023, Medical Procurement of Ukraine has become the only centralized purchaser of medical goods and will purchase within 23 streams. At the same time, we will continue to purchase the necessary medical equipment within the President of Ukraine initiative - UNITED24", - said Edem Adamanov.
According to him, the development of the e-Stock system will be another MPU`s priority in 2023: "By the end of this year, the Medical Procurement of Ukraine team plans to finalize the key modules of e-Stock, so that the functionality of the system covers all medical goods purchased at state expense. This will increase patients' access to free treatment and allow the state to make better decisions about purchases and supplies".
In addition, Edem Adamanov emphasized that in 2023, SE "Ukrmedpostach" should be affiliated to MPU: "Thus, Medical Procurement of Ukraine will have its own storage capacity and will be able to better influence the supply and availability of medicines in the hospital. Since our key goal is to ensure transparent and effective public procurement for the availability and accessibility of quality medicines for Ukrainians", - added Edem Adamanov.
