The Medical Procurement of Ukraine discussed key areas of interaction with international partners

The team of the Medical Procurement of Ukraine (MPU), together with international partners from the non-profit organization Management Sciences for Health (MSH) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) project "Safe, Affordable, and Effective Medicines for Ukrainians" (SAFEMed), identified prospects for further fruitful collaboration.

The key goal of the meeting was to discuss the challenges, achievements, and prospects for the development of a sustainable healthcare supply system and the establishment of a full-cycle procurement agency based on the MPU.

Additionally, together with partners, the Medical Procurement of Ukraine prioritized key areas of collaboration, including:

  • Support for the development of logistics capacities of the MPU;
  • Strengthening anti-corruption policy and compliance procedures;
  • Digital transformation of business processes and implementation of best technological solutions;
  • Development of the Prozorro Market electronic catalog, etc.

"Effective collaboration with international partners is extremely important for the MPU team, as only through joint efforts can we bring positive change to the healthcare sector in Ukraine. The fact that the Medical Procurement of Ukraine has such reliable partners once again demonstrates that we are on the right path and are moving towards quality changes and reforms in the field of medical supply, ensuring that patients always have access to free treatment," says the head of the MPU Edem Adamanov.

The MPU sincerely thanks MSH and the USAID-SAFEMed project for their visit and unwavering support of our team in building an effective healthcare supply system.
