Ukrainian military units will receive new ambulances purchased by the Medical Procurement of Ukraine upon the order of the Ministry of Health.
Their procurement took place with donor funds collected within the initiative of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky UNITED24.
The MPU team handed over to the military units Type C ambulances with a total value of over 39 million UAH. Among them are 4 front-wheel-drive and 10 all-wheel-drive vehicles.
In particular, the vehicles were dispatched to the military medical clinical centers of the Central, Western, Eastern, Northern, and Southern regions and to the military units of some regions of Ukraine.
“Another 14 ambulances procured with donations to UNITED24 were dispatched to military units. They are equipped with everything necessary for the evacuation and rescue of people. This will strengthen our medical system as the enemy has already damaged, destroyed, or seized nearly 500 ambulances. The fundraising initiative by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, UNITED24, has brought people from around the world together to support Ukraine, including the reinforcement of the healthcare system. The funds raised are directed towards purchasing medical equipment, rebuilding medical facilities, medical supplies – everything our healthcare professionals need to continue working and saving lives," said Viktor Liashko, the Minister of Health of Ukraine.
"Protecting the health of Ukrainians is our priority. This time, we handed over 14 ambulances to our military, who are in great need of 'mobile resuscitation.' Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the demand for such vehicles has significantly increased because they are systematically damaged or destroyed due to hostilities. That's why these procurements are crucial for the country. In total, over the course of 4 years, the Medical Procurement of Ukraine has purchased and provided over 1100 ambulances, which save lives every day," added Edem Adamanov, General Manager of the MPU.
The acquired ambulances are equipped with all the necessary tools for the evacuation and rescue of people, including respiratory support equipment, infusion devices, vital parameters monitoring instruments, and tools for resuscitative measures. This includes a blood pressure monitor, pulse oximeter, glucose meter, defibrillator, nebulizer, capnograph, electrocardiograph, and more.
