MPU has started delivering 18 ambulance procured through United24

The first 18 ambulances purchased by the Medical Procurement of Ukraine (MPU) are already on their way to hospitals in the Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv and Rivne regions. They were procured under the First Lady's initiative through United24.

For the Medical Procurement of Ukraine team, it was a priority position, so we did our best to implement the purchase in record time.

"We understand that ambulances are needed by Ukrainian hospitals very much. Therefore, in 2 weeks we developed a technical task, analyzed the market, held a tender and after consultations with the Ministry of Health concluded a contract with the supplier", said Edem Adamanov, acting general manager of the MPU.

In total, the MPU purchased 57 resuscitation vehicles, which contain specific medical equipment. In fact, it is autonomous resuscitation on wheels.

In particular, ambulances, purchased by the MPU, are equipped with:

  • Means of respiratory support: artificial lung ventilation device, stationary and portable oxygen balloons;
  • Means for monitoring vital signs and resuscitation: an electrocardiograph for monitoring the activity of the heart and a defibrillator-monitor in case it stops;
  • A capnograph - a monitor for measuring carbon dioxide in the patient's blood, which must be monitored during artificial lung ventilation.

This equipment will help doctors save the lives and health of patients on the way to the health care facility.

MPU thanks everyone who is helping Ukraine and, in particular, joined the United24 ambulance fundraiser.
